Fire Department Lockboxes Help Reduce Damage, Save Lives

Nobody wants to think about a potential emergency at their building, but in the event of a fire or other emergency, the first priority is to ensure the safety of the people inside, and the second is to reduce the amount of damage to the building. Loss of life is the absolute tragedy, leaving families and friends to grieve loss. Damage or loss of property could be detrimental to a business, leaving employees without work and potentially financially damaging a business beyond revival.

Lockbox lids must be replaced with Bluetooth SMART lids to work with a new eKEY. Building owners/property managers must contact your lockbox company to make the change by October 15, 2020. (Note: due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have extended the deadline). Failure to do so may result in delayed Fire response, fines and/or jail time.

High Security Locksmith Company has been working with building managers and facilities since the inception of the City of Calgary's program. We carry the Bluetooth fire department lock boxes that the City of Calgary's code requires, and we can assist you with complete services including selecting the product that works best for your building, installation of surface mount or recessed mount configurations, and you can request regular inspections from our full-time lockbox inspector. We work closely with the Calgary Fire Department to ensure you are up to code, and reduce or eliminate the risks of loss of life or property in the event of an emergency.
